City East campus is located on the corner of North Terrace and Frome Road, in the busiest part of central Adelaide. North Terrace is serviced by many of the main bus routes, with other main stops no more than two blocks away. The railway station is only a five-minute walk away so any bus or train into the city can bring you within close walking distance of the campus. Car parking can be scarce in the city centre so public transport is recommended.

City East has the State’s only programs in physiotherapy, podiatry, pharmacy, medical radiation, occupational therapy and human movement. It is also home to consolidated nursing and midwifery, and medical science programs including laboratory medicine, pharmaceutical science and nutrition and food sciences. Other programs taught on campus include construction management, geographic information systems, planning and geoinformatics and surveying. Research expertise includes nutritional physiology, allied health and health care, and pharmaceutical science at the world class Sansom Institute situated on campus.
Community health services are provided at City East through specialised clinics in podiatry, physiotherapy, psychology, and mammography. There are new dedicated facilities for health sciences’ students including the Chemplus model pharmacy and many specialised laboratories. The seven-hectare campus is also home to the University's Centre for English Language (CELUSA) and South Australian Institute of Business and Technology (SAIBT).
Also, a new outdoor plaza is centrally located, providing an ideal
spot to relax with friends over lunch or a drink. The gym also provides
a place to unwind and keep fit.
