The ACHPER (SA) Prize

Awarded to the Sport and Recreation student with the highest grade point average across the first year Sport and Recreation courses.
Value: $250 plus ACHPER professional activities, workshop enrolment and mentoring to the value of $250 (Total value: $500)

Andersons Solicitors Prize for Torts A and Torts B

The Andersons Solicitors Prize for Torts is awarded to students who are enrolled in Bachelor of Laws program or associated double degrees. The prize recipient will be selected on the basis of academic merit to be determined by the highest cumulative mark achieved by the student in the following courses: Torts A and Torts B. Both courses must be undertaken in the same calendar year.

The recipient will receive an internship with Andersons Solicitors for a period of four weeks to be negotiated between the recipient and the donor and $500.

The Advanced Accounting in Business Program Grant

The Advanced Accounting and Finance Program (AAFP) Grant is awarded to all students commencing in the DBCA Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or DBCD Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting)/Bachelor of Business (Finance) degrees who have obtained a B+ or higher in SACE Stage 2 Accounting. Students will be granted course substitution for the course ACCT 1008 Accounting for Business to complete an approved professional development elective.

Students in the double degree DBCD Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting)/Bachelor of Business (Finance) are eligible for both the Advanced Accounting in Business Program (AABP) and Advanced Finance in Business Program (AFBP) grants so must choose the one which best suits their individual circumstances.

This grant is only available from 2017 to students commencing study with UniSA who completed their entry level qualification (e.g. SACE) in the previous year.

Value: $1‚000 voucher to be used for an approved professional development elective.

The Dean's Community Spirit Award

The Dean's Community Spirit Award is awarded to an individual student or group of law students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Laws program or associated double degrees. The recipient/s of the prize will be nominated by academic and professional staff of the Law School and law student pers and will be selected by a panel including the Dean of Law.

Staff and Students of the Law School are encouraged to nominate either an individual law students wom they believe meet one or more of the requirements. Law students cannot self-nominate. Nominations must be accopanied by a statement detailing how the nominee meets one or more of the award criteria.

Recipients criteria:
Nominations will be considered for individual law students who best exemplify one or more of the following:
1) Shows leadership
 - works well with others, is motivated and supports and fosters teamwork

2) Fosters a positive student culture
 - is engaged in School and University activities and actively seeks to encourage others to participate

3)Enhances the reputation of the Law School
 - is involved in an initiative that actively promates the Law Schol within the University, the legal profesion or broader community.

Gary Lindblom Memorial Prize

Awarded by the Australian Property Institute (SA Division) to the student with the highest grade point average over three years of the Bachelor of Business (Property) program.  For students who reside in Australia.
Value: Approx. $1400
• A full year of Provisional Membership of the API on graduation Approx. $600
• Free registration on API mandatory units for certification/membership including Risk Management Module (value up to $800)
• Free submission for Professional Interview (when ready)

Global Experience

To be awarded GE students are required to successfully complete four components to the aggregate value of 120 points:

  • Orientation (5 points);
  • BUSS1056 (BUGE course 10 points);
  • Experience Suite (100 points); and
  • MyAdvantage Professional Development (5 points).

All four are compulsory.
Value: certificate of completion, transcript notation and a letter form the University outlining the student's activities whilst registered as a GE participant.

Goodman Fielder Prize

Awarded annually to the most outstanding student (onshore) in the course Marketing for Health and Wellbeing based on academic performance.
Value: $500

Graham Arnold Prize

The Graham Arnold Prize will be awarded to a PhD student at UniSA with the best dissertation in the area of Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, International Management or International Business. The recipient will receive $5,000. The $5,000 will be paid in one instalment at the next University of South Australia Scholarships and Grants Ceremony.

There will be no application process, a shortlist of the best dissertations in the areas of study mentioned above will be compiled by University of South Australia Business School staff and forwarded to the selection panel for their consideration and selection of the prize recipient.

Students are expected to provide a report following receipt of their award on the impact it has had and how it has supported their studies.
Value: $5,000 to be paid in one instalment.

Pank/University of South Australia Prize for Social Innovation and Enterprise

The Pank/University of South Australia Prize for Social Innovation and Enterprise is open to all current UniSA students and alumni. The prize is designed to assist the recipient set up a new and innovative social enterprise in South Australia. Applicants can nominate a partner who is not a UniSA student or alumni member to assist with their application for the award, valued at $10,000 plus mentoring support.

The application and selection process consists of three stages: 
 - Stage 1: Interested parties must complete an online expression of interest and submit a brief description of their idea. They will receive feedback from a representative from the School of Management 
 - Stage 2: Applicants who meet the criteria will be asked to prepare and submit a short plan that details their idea and its implementation. Applicants will be directed to a website providing comprehensive information to help the applicant prepare their application 
 - Stage 3: The applications will be short listed by a panel of representatives from The School of Management. Each application will be assessed on the strength of the idea, the reality of the opportunity and the passion of the applicant for its implementation. Short listed applicants will then have a chance to present their proposal to the panel. The prize recipient will be selected by the panel including a representative from the School of Management and a representative of the Pank family. The prize recipient will be asked to develop an implementation plan, in conjunction with a School of Management mentor, which includes milestones and timelines for the first 12 months.

Awarded annually on the basis of both academic achievement and personal qualities to a student who has completed a Bachelor of Management (Marketing), Bachelor of Marketing and Communication or Bachelor of Management (Marketing), Bachelor of International Studies. A short list of no more than five students will be selected, based on the results of the final year marketing courses. If required the candidates will be interviewed by a panel consisting of representatives of the School of Marketing.
