UniSA’s new Learning Centre in Mount Gambier features specialist teaching facilities for education, health and social work students including treatment rooms modelled on the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Mount Gambier Hospital, enabling students to learn in real-world scenarios. Collaborative teaching and learning facilities that allow lecturers, tutors and students to instantly display their work on large screens for discussion and debate. Together with a central piazza and a variety of spaces and furniture for socialising and informal learning makes the Mount Gambier Campus the place to study.
UniSA is co-located with TAFE SA at Wireless Road, Mount Gambier and shares some facilities with them. Students have access to support staff to assist them with enrolment, access to USASA Officers and the online Library environment. For more information about the new building, click here.
High speed connectivity
The new building was complemented by the construction of 260kms of fibre optic cable to connect Mount Gambier to the national Research and Education network. This infrastructure means Mount Gambier students are now getting on-campus internet speeds 1000 times the rate they are used to - from 10 megabits per second to 10 gigabits per second. Mount Gambier is now among the most connected regional cities in Australia and this provides students with access to the same curriculum, the same resources and the same academics as those in Adelaide.
UniSA's student organisation USASA organises heaps of fun activities at the Mount Gambier Campus. To find out more, visit the link or get in touch with your USASA rep and get involved!
