IFITT Talk Workshop
The IFITT Talk on 'Smart Tourism Services and Smart Destinations' was designed to provide everyone with the latest research findings and insights about the impacts of sharing economy and the latest technology trends in the tourism industry. The workshop featured 7 presentations from international academics and industry professionals, all experts in their field, and a discussion panel with leading representatives from the tourism industry and featured keynote speeches, panel discussions and a hand-on interactive workshop on data analytics

IFITT Talk Workshop
The IFITT Talk on “Digital Marketing in Tourism” was one more successful event co-organised by the Centre for Tourism and Leisure Management (CTLM) and IFITT. It gathered more than 140 professionals representing the wider South Australia tourism industry including: accommodation providers, cellar doors and wineries, restaurants, visitor attractions, the MICE and transportation sector, destination management companies and city councils.

New Wines of Greece
This was a two days event. The first day included an executive training program in topics related to cellar door management, wine destination management, wine marketing and wine tourism. The second day featured a field trip to Barossa whereby visits to cellar doors, and talks with wine experts and professionals have been arranged for peer learning. The events were attended by 23 wine experts and cellar door managers and owners from Greece

Research Symposium of the CAUTHE SIG in Tourism, Hospitality and Events
The CAUTHE Special Interest Group in Information & Communication Technologies conducted a Research Symposium on 21 April 2017 at the University of South Australia with the support of the Centre for Tourism & Leisure Management at the School of Management. The purpose of the Symposium was to bring together researchers in order to network, discuss and form collaborations for conducting and advancing research in the field of Information & Communication Technologies and Tourism, Hospitality and Events.

Australia-China Tourism Forum
The Australia-China Tourism Forum was the first of its kind to enable dialogues between key tourism stakeholders of Australia and China. Leading figures in academia, industry, and government in both countries were invited to share their views and perspectives on a wide range of issues pertaining to China-Australia tourism relations. The Forum was supported by the Australian Government through the Australia-China Council of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The 1st Australia-China Tourism Forum was co-organised by the School of Management at University of South Australia, the School of Tourism Management at Sun Yat-sen University in China, and the Tourism Research Cluster at Curtin University. It was held at the Hilton Hotel in Adelaide, Australia.
The Keynote speakers at the Forum were: Annette Sharp co-founder and CEO of the China Digital Agency, Dr George Y Chen Principal Analyst and Manager of National Tourism Forecasts, Tourism Research Australia (TRA), Austrade, Tim Gao an adjunct researcher of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and a Visiting Professor to the College of Tourism and Services Management at Nankai University, Douglas Gautier CEO & Artistic Director of Adelaide Festival Centre, Cathy Hsu Chair Professor of Hospitality and Tourism Marketing in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Bob McKercher Professor in Tourism Management in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Chris Ryan Professor of Tourism at the University of Waikato, Anthony Coles Principal of Sinosphere Pty Ltd.
