AWA SA Water Industry Research Awards 2011
Professor Linda Zou was nominated as a finalist in the AWA SA Water Industry Research Awards in 2011. Two of her PhD students, Shuaifei Zhao and Juan Yang, were finalists in the Postgraduate Research Award category, with Shuaifei receiving a high commendation.

Statistical Concepts and Methods for the Modern World Conference 2011
Dr Guna Hewa Alankarage was an invited session organiser and invited speaker for “Statistical Applications in Civil Engineering” at the Statistical Concepts and Methods for the Modern World conference held in Sri Lanka in December 2011.
Adjunct Research Fellow Stanley McLeod was invited to visit RCEES in April 2011 to discuss the application of micro-distillation technology.
