Activity 5: Developing the budget to fund the proposed program
Objective
To turn your draft program into a budget proposal

Time required: 30 minutes

Task
In your Ministry groups answer the following questions:
  1. In relation to your draft proposal identify what resources would be required to make the modification or developments to your Ministry's programs or activities.
  2. How would you put your proposal to the Ministry of Finance?
  3. Who would be responsible for developing a proposal?
Summary method
Nominate a person in your group to record your answers on a writing pad (to be provided). This activity is an introduction to a "Budget game" activity and you may wish to keep the knowledge generated in this activity within your Ministerial group for the time being.
