If you notice a document that is taking a long period of time to be
printed, please review these steps to ensure printing can continue
- large size files can take a long time to print in the student
computer pools, so during busy printing periods it is recommended to
print these jobs out side of peak times. If the file is course related
material it is advisable to E-mail the URL link to the document to the
IT Help Desk so the file can be either reduced in size or
removed.
- Poorly formatted documents can take some time print and if you
notice a delay in printing please delete the job from the print queue,
re-format the document and then print or seek advice from the IT Help
Desk ph: 8302 5198
- Some graphic intensive documents e.g. PowerPoint presentations or
PDF files can be very time consuming to print from the student printing
environment. So in this instance it is advisable to to either reduce the
number of graphics in the document, then print or E-mail the URL link to
the offending document to the IT Help Desk so the
file can be modified or removed.
- In some cases it can be useful to cut and paste the required
material from large or graphic intensive documents into a word document
and print that.
