Why can't I access External Internet web sites?

First check that your computer is connected to the University's wired network, wireless network, dial up service or VPN and you are logged on to the computer with a valid UniSA account.  A good check to see if your computer is successfully connected to the University's network and also connected to the Internet, is to open your email program and see if you can successfully receive email. 

If the above is all in order and you still can not view external web-sites you will need to check your Internet Explorer proxy settings.

If you can not receive email as well as access the Internet it suggests a bigger problem may exist.  Check to see if your colleagues are affected too or if it is just limited to your own computer and then report the issue to the IT Help Desk by phone on 08 83025000.
