Podiatry Clinic

The UniSA Podiatry Clinic is an undergraduate teaching clinic open to members of the public. Registered practicing podiatrists supervise undergraduate Podiatry students who carry out podiatric assessment and treatment.


Services available

The University Podiatry Clinic provides a comprehensive range of podiatry services including:

  • Foot and lower limb assessment
  • Treatment of lesions of the skin and nails, including corns, callus, and nail problems
  • Treatment of infections (e.g. plantar warts)
  • Nail surgery Foot care and footwear education
  • Biomechanical assessment
  •  Insole and orthosis manufacture

Clinics

The following clinics are run each week during semester time (March to November):

  • Adult assessment and treatment
  • Adult biomechanics and sports injury
  • Nail surgery
  •  Paediatrics (children)

Clinic hours

Monday 10am - noon (general clinic)
Tuesday 9am - 1 pm (general clinic)
Wednesday 9am - 3 pm (biomechanics clinic)
Thursday 9am - noon (general clinic)
Friday 9am - noon (paediatrics clinic) *limited weeks

Fees

The administration charge is levied to cover the costs of materials and to help upgrade clinic equipment.

Nail surgery $40
Soft insoles (pair) (off the shelf orthoses) $50
Casting $20

Rigid orthoses (price includes the cost of one pair of rigid orthoses, covers, dispensing and follow-up appointments):

Children $140
Trilaminates $20 in addition
