Staff acknowledged for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning

October 2013 - The university takes great pride in celebrating the success of the following staff members who have been awarded the prestigious Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning'. These citations are awarded through a highly competitive process by the Commonwealth Government's Office for Learning and Teaching. The citations recognise and reward the diverse, scholarly contributions made by individuals and teams who have had a significant impact on the quality of student learning in a particular area of responsibility over a sustained period.

The Division of Education, Arts and Social Sciences is proud to announce the following successful teams:

  • Associate Professor Janet Bryan (Associate Head of School: Teaching and Learning/Senior Lecturer), Dr Michelle Tuckey (Senior Lecturer), Dr Rob Ranzijn (Senior Lecturer), Dr Renae Hayward (Research Assistant), Dr Elissa Pearson (Lecturer), Mrs Cathy Balfour (Program Director), Professor Kurt Lushington (Head, School of Psychology, Social Work and Social Policy) for introducing work-integrated learning and enhancing student experiences and professional development into psychology undergraduate degrees through nationally-recognised curriculum renewal.
     
  • Ms Dale Wache (Lecturer: Academic Development, Learning and Teaching Unit) and Associate Professor Tangi Steen (Associate Head of School: Teaching and Learning/Senior Lecturer, David Unaipon College of Indigenous Education and Research) for strong and effective leadership in curriculum design and development in an Indigenous education program to significantly enhance staff capacity to engage students in learning.
