Professional, clinical and field education placement in metropolitan, regional and rural areas are a core and essential element of the psychology, social work and human services programs offered by the School of Psychology, Social Work and Social Sciences (PSW). The School is keen to support and acknowledge clinical and field education placement supervisors who regularly supervise students as part of their professional role.

We are offering a Field Supervisor Recognition Program with benefits and support for supervisors who are not paid by UniSA but who provide frequent and regular supervision of PSW students. The elements of the program (depending on volume of supervision undertaken) are:

  • Twice yearly program intake
  • 2 year duration of benefits *Clinical Psychology 1 year
  • Benefits to recognised supervisors:
    • Access to the Library and databases
    • A UniSA email address
    • Access to specific events and supervisor support activities
    • Certificate of Appreciation

Eligibility is based on either the number of students supervised in the preceding year or the total hours of supervision provided.  Current supervisors can apply to be considered for the program at any time using the UniSA online application. There will be two periods of application assessment and notification of outcomes undertaken each year.

Criteria

Any placement supervisor or field educator who contributes to the placement supervision or field education of PSW students by being the primary supervisor of 2 or more students throughout the year
* Clinical Psychology supervision of 1 placement student in previous 12 months •
