Professor Pal Ahluwalia

The Division of Education, Arts and Social Sciences (EASS) is the largest in the University of South Australia, with our five schools offering programs in:

  • Art, Architecture, and Design
  • Communication, International Relations, Languages, and Journalism
  • Education
  • Indigenous Cultures, Australian Studies, and History
  • Psychology, Social Work, and Human Services

Our staff are actively involved in teaching and research, and we are proud of our strong linkages with industry. This provides our students with the theoretical knowledge and practical experience required to be job-ready in an increasingly competitive market. Students learn in state of the art facilities. Our radio and television studios, cognitive neuroscience laboratory, social work studio, psychology clinic, art gallery, architecture learning spaces and architecture museum will all contribute to your rich and interesting learning experience.

Our Schools and Research Centres, along with the renowned Hawke Research Institute, have an exemplary record in winning national competitive research grants.
