School of Art, Architecture and Design

Welcome to UniSA’s School of Art, Architecture and Design, setting the pace in its field.

As one of the oldest art schools in Australia, the innovative tradition that marked our School at the turn of the century as the South Australian School of Art and the Louis Laybourne Smith School of Architecture and Design continues.

Professional artists, designers and theorists at the school drive our ever-evolving teaching and research. Students gain skills in critical analysis and creative thinking and practice, and graduate as career-ready professionals. Our researchers address some of society’s big challenges: from sustainable living, to communicating information responsibly in a saturated visual culture.

Come and study with us and benefit from our outstanding facilities including the South Australian School of Art (SASA) Gallery, Architecture Museum, and distinctive purpose-built design spaces.
