UniSA Bachelor of Marketing and Communicationsstudent, Terri Harding, was the 2009 recipient of the prestigious Ehrenberg Scholarship, an undergraduate marketing scholarship awarded by the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science.

First year student Harding was awarded the scholarship based on her outstanding academic achievements and extra curricular activities during high school.

She completed most of her schooling on Kangaroo Island then transferred to Walford Anglican School for Girls in 2007.

At school, Harding excelled in Business Studies and Performing Arts while also volunteering with organisations such as the Mary Magdalene Centre.

The Ehrenberg Scholarship is awarded annually to a promising student enrolled in one of the threeundergraduate programs offered by the School of Marketing.

As well as a year of paid HECS-fees, recipients are offered paid, part-time work assisting the Marketing Scientists at the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute with a academic and industry-focused research projects.

Harding will also get direct entry into the School of Marketing masterclasses (invitation-only seminars held each semester for high achieving students) which will give her further opportunity to learn from and interact with Senior Researchers from the Institute.

"The scholarship has given me an insight into the world of marketing and the very exciting career opportunities available to graduates," Harding said.

"It also gives me confidence in knowing that if you apply yourself, you can really achieve your goals and ambitions."

Since its foundation in 2001, the scholarship has been awarded to 10 students who have gone on to further study or to work placements around Australia and overseas.

Terry Harding commenced the Bachelor of Marketing and Communication degree in 2009. She is the 10th Ehrenberg Scholarship recipient since it's inception in 2001.
