Saturday Afternoon Sessions - 1hr Night Sky

Looking for something to do on a Saturday afternoon, why not take a trip to Adelaide’s only Planetarium at UniSA’s Mawson Lakes Campus.

The Adelaide Planetarium projects a replica of the night sky onto a domed ceiling and can be used to show the position of constellations, stars and planets. The audience is taken on an immersive guided tour of the solar system and the universe as our highly experienced presenter takes you on a journey through space.

Visitors learn about the origins of the stars and constellation names, utilising traditional star lore and mythology.  Particular emphasis is placed on the names of stars and constellations, a description of what you could see if you went outside on a clear night.
