Samstag Named Best Museum in South Australia

As the world celebrated International Museum Day (IMD) , SBS selected their favourite museum in each state and territory. We are delighted to announce Samstag Museum of Art was selected the South Australian favourite.

2018 Anne & Gordon Samstag International Visual Art Scholarships

Each scholarship includes, for twelve months of overseas study, a tax-exempt stipend equivalent to US $48,000, plus return airfares and institutional fees.

We thank Sydney Ball for his generosity and foresight in donating a large body of his masterworks to the University of South Australia, The Sydney Ball Gift, room brochure, available for download.

In 2017, the Museum celebrates its 10th year. To mark this special occasion, along with the 25th anniversary of the Samstag Scholarships (2016), we proudly present The Samstag Legacy: An Artist's Bequest publication.
