The Adelaide Planetarium offers a great range of school holiday programs that are both educational and entertaining:
Take a guided tour through our Night Sky followed by a full dome movie experience.
The session involves the Astronomy Educator giving a short presentation on the solar system, stars and constellations and other interesting objects found in the night sky combined with a full dome movie.

Tycho to the Moon
‘Tycho to the Moon’ is a show produced especially for the kids - shown on the Planetarium 360 degree full digital dome. Tycho is the dog that doesn't just howl at the moon, he goes there. Blast off on an amazing ride with Tycho and his friends, Ruby and Michael on a great adventure in space. Learn about night and day, phases of the moon, space travel and the lunar surface. Take a close-up look at the Sun, see Tycho play in zero gravity, witness Earth from space, and watch meteors shoot across the night sky.

Wildest Weather in the Solar System
Join National Geographic on a spectacular journey to witness the most beautiful, powerful, and mysterious weather phenomena in the solar system. From a storm the size of a 100-megaton hydrogen bomb, to a 400-year-old hurricane, to a dust storm that could engulf entire planets.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the session commencement to be seated comfortably and to avoid disappointment as there will be NO entry into the planetarium once the session has started.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Prams are not permitted in the Planetarium.
